Tata Motors to move the manufacturing from its facility at Pantnagar (Uttarakhand) of its small wonder Tata Nano to the Sanand unit (Gujarat). The strategical shift is due to company's presumption that the light commercial vehicle sale will accelerate to 50 per cent in this fiscal year. The Tata Motors LCVs are manufactured from the facilities at Pune and Pantnagar

Tata Motors, India's premium vehicle maker is also in search for a land to make a new LCV manufacturing facility and for which the search is already in process. Sandeep Kumar, the head for Sales of Commercial Vehicles for Tata Motors said that, Tata Nano production will be shifted in Sanand facility in Gujarat. When quizzed about the entire production plant shifting to Sanand unit, he repiled that, the company is expected to move the production of Tata Nano.
